Turkey Trot

Today was the 13th Annual Turkey Trot at Portage Park in Chicago.
Coach was able to round up a few members of the team to
participate with him and Emily.
It was a bit cold, but otherwise a beautiful, bright, sunny day.  Enjoy the pics!

What kind of strategy shall we follow for a turkey trot?

As I said, the sun was bright!

Hmmmm...looks like tough competition.

Coach started off at the top of the pack.

Jerry wasn't far behind.

(Sorry Zach and Sean--I missed the photo opportunity.)
Here comes Sandra.

Sonja, with Emily and Melody right behind.

Emily making her move--time to catch up to the leader.

Coach made top five and won himself a turkey!!!

Sectionals

It was a bit chilly, but at least it was dry, for the IHSA Sectionals meet in Aurora.  The course is runner-friendly, but not necessarily spectator-friendly, so it was a bit difficult getting adequate shots since we were limited in the number of times the runner went past us.  If any parents have additional photos, please send them my way.

Enjoy!

(Sorry, Sonja, this girl snuck inbetween you and the camera at the last minute.)

Oops!  Sonja--slow down--I missed the second shot as well.

Another strong finish.
